Test Data:

  • no sign of stress or fatigue at point of blade destruction; 5300 Ibs (2400K's) centripetal load

Blade Components:

 Construction:

  • Blade section -  machined on an electronically controlled carving machine and then hand finished.

  • Root section -    turned on a precision modified wood lathe

  •  Clear coat -       Two part aircraft grade polyurethane with ultraviolet inhibitors.

  • Actuator Pin -    press fit laminated into root end for pitch adjustment

  •  Prop blades -    will fit any Solo G.A.P. propeller hub.

Material:

  • Propeller blades are machined from clear premium grade eastern maple (sugar maple or rock maple) kiln and air dried to specifications.

Tolerances:

  • Root: +/- .002" all dimensions

  •  Balance: +/- .05g at the tips

  •  Tracking: +/- .09" tip to tip

  •  Angle: +/- 1/4° blade to blade

 Weight:

  • weight (per blade): 16" = 43 grams ( 1.5 oz.) (for longer blades add 7 grams or 0.25 oz. per inch)

 Test Data:

  • Blade loading (centripitel force)

  •  Yield; 4850 Ibs (2,200Kg) Failure 5,070 Ibs (2,300Kg)

  •  Test Results demonstrate a consistant Safety Factor of 3.5 @ Maximum
